How to Search Rightmove by Travel Time (Automatically)

Rightmove doesn’t currently let you filter listings by commute or journey time out of the box. This guide shows you the fastest way to add travel time search to Rightmove using the Commutable Chrome extension — so you see only homes within your target commute.

Step-by-step: Rightmove travel time search

1. Install Commutable from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Open Rightmove and search as normal (area, price, beds).
3. Click the Commutable icon and set your destination (e.g., King’s Cross, Euston, office postcode).
4. Choose your travel mode (train, driving, etc.).
5. Use the max travel time filter to hide listings beyond your limit.
6. Browse — each card shows a live journey time. Click through to see details on the property page.
